MAS amps are extremely high quality T-amp power amps, built to order for very little outlay.
We offer them on a 90 day money-back trial. If you like it, you keep it, if you don't, return it and you get your money back. It’s really the only way to decide if a set-up is right for you. You need to try it in the environment you’re going to be using it in.
They are small, eco-friendly (low power consumption) amps that are astonishingly detailed although they have a power output more akin to valve amps (remember them?)... Except these won’t run hot, and don’t have valves in them to break! They are actually pretty easy to make yourself if you’re OK with a soldering iron... and if you'd like to do that, we'll show you how to do that too.
They can be built into more elaborate boxes if you like, but this is the most popular, discreet, functional, basic model.
Ours retail from £100.
Pictured, is the MAS-1B which is £130 since it comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery. They last ages between charges, it’s unbelievable!
This is the one I use in my system in my lounge with an Audio Note M-Zero R pre amp, Audio Note CD player and Acoustic Energy AE1 MKII speakers. That's over £4000 worth of kit being powered from a dinky amp. I used to have much more expensive stuff and this power amp blew it away (to ebay).
To be honest I use two of them with my AE1s as they are seriously inefficient speakers and they need a bit of 'oomph' to get those metal cones moving with finesse.
The Tripath TA2024 based power amplifier is built to order and we have some demo ones for you to try before you buy. We can build double ones to use with speakers you can bi-amp and therefore double the power output, quasi-mono-block amps and even build them into speaker cabinets to turn passive speakers into 'active' ones.

What's in the MAS amps?
This is a TA2024C Tripath chip-based amplifier circuit made by Arjen Shenzhen of Helder HiFi.
7 years ago, the TA2024 chip from Tripath was integrated into a amp called the Sonic Impact T-Amp which is an integrated amplifier and it was a true 'giant killer'. Here's an impartial review about the amp from TNT Audio. To cut a long story short, this circuit is a stripped out, modified, updated version of that circuit, and in most people's opinion, the best... ... and we put it in a decent box, with decent components, supply a 12V power unit or Li-Ion battery and let you test it, and guarantee it. |
What can you use them in?
Our best-selling T-amp Power amplifier, the MAS-1 can be used with a laptop, with or without a DAC, an iPhone/iPad/iPod, a pre amplifier, or an av-processor, essentially anything with a variable output, or volume control. They can be incorporated into a high-end HiFi or AV system, or used to play music, albeit very well, in a kitchen, bedroom, or even portable system. These are power amps, in a nut-shell, they have no volume control... Something else in the chain needs to have that... So, why don't we just build one with a volume knob?... Purity. Do what you do best, out-source the rest... Others make better pre-amps than we do, or if you want an amp similar to ours with a volume control, I’ll show you where you can get them. I was so intrigued, I bought one myself... Then sold it, since it didn’t sound as good as the MAS-1... A pretty good alternative though.
If you run it in a ‘proper’ HiFi, you will need to source a Pre amp. We can help you do that if you want us to, new or pre-owned.
